Web Forwarding

Web forwarding allows you to have your domain name pointed to an existing web site hosted by a different web host. The correct way to point your domain name is to ask your web host for their name servers and then go here to change them for your domain. If your web host does not provide name servers (e.g. if you use a free web host or free space provided by your ISP) then web forwarding will get your domain name to point to your web site.

Note: If you are using the free web space we provided with your domain name then your domain name is already set up to point to your web hosting. Do not try and enable web forwarding or it will disable, and possibly damage, any web pages you have uploaded to our server.

We provide two types of web forwarding:

1. Standard Web Forwarding - When your domain name is typed into a web browser, visitors are redirected to your web site and the displayed domain switches to the real address of your site (this is technically called a permanent redirect).

2. Masked Web Forwarding - When your domain name is typed into a web browser, visitors are taken to your web site and your domain name continues to be displayed in the address bar. This uses frames which means that individual pages from your web site can not be bookmarked.

To enable web forwarding log into the control panel, click on the web forwarding icon and follow the instructions.
