Email Instructions
We provide three ways of accessing your mail. These are listed below. The
most reliable is POP3 (via a program like Outlook Express) as this downloads
mail to your computer and saves disk space on your Nameroute account. If you
have an email program all you will need is the email address, username, password
and server name. You can then refer to the help files provided by the suppliers
of the email program.
What is my e-mail address?
Each account comes with a single "catch all" e-mail account. This captures
mail sent to anything@yourdomain.com.
This is like a number of people living in the one house. Mail to all the residents
would be delivered to the same mailbox. This way you have an unlimited number
of addresses which can receive mail but the mail will be delivered to one
place.
By using a POP3 e-mail program like Outlook Express or Eudora you can specify an unlimited number of aliases like:
- person1@yourdomain.com
- person2@yourdomain.com
Mail to all these recipients will come into your single POP3 e-mail account.
Note: POP3 and webmail delivery is disabled by default on new accounts. Please log into the control panel and click on ther POP3 email icon to enable it.
