Configuring Spam Assassin

Spam assassin looks at each email you receive and analyses the content giving scores to any features which make it look like spam. If the score goes over a preset limit the email is sent to you as an attachment with a message that it may be spam.

You can then set up a fileter in your pop 3 program to move these messages to a seperate folder or you can set up a mail filter in our control panel to delete them without you seeing them (although deleting them will result in some genuine mail possibly being lost).

To enable Spam Assassin:

  1. Log into the control panel.
  2. Click on the Spam Assassin icon.
  3. Click on the button to enable Spam Assassin.
